Wi-Fi gives mobility and avoids running a cable to every device. Wired Ethernet gives a dedicated physical path and is usually the better foundation for fixed high-demand devices, access-point backhaul and locations where consistency matters. Most good properties use both.

Florida DBPR distinguishes wireless setup from compensated computer-network wiring: physical network wiring is licensed work, while setting up a wireless network without that wiring is treated differently. Any regulated cabling or electrical scope must be performed through the appropriately licensed contractor.

Choose Wi-Fi when...
- the device must move
- running cable is impractical
- coverage/capacity can be solved with properly placed APs
Choose Wired Ethernet/cabling when...
- the device is fixed and performance matters
- you are building AP backhaul or a reliable network backbone
- wireless interference/coverage is a recurring problem
The part people miss
Adding another wireless router is not automatically a Wi-Fi solution. Access-point placement, wired backhaul, channel use and the existing network design all matter.
